How to Take Care of Skin in the 30s?
Even if you have painstakingly taken care of your skin in your 20’s, you will start to notice slight deteriorations as you enter your 30’s. It is inevitable and natural and something that cannot be avoided completely.
However, there are a few things you can do to slow down the aging process of the skin, while in your 30’s. This article will discuss just those important pointers.
Use a cleanser
You will ideally need two types of cleansers to cleanse your skin in the 30’s. In the mornings, use a cleanser that contains alpha hydroxy acids, ingredients that will greatly promote exfoliation in your skin.
As for an evening cleanser, use a creamy cleanser that will not completely dry out your skin before you go to bed. It is very important that you use the cleanser in the evening, to remove all makeup layers and to clear the pores before you go to bed.
Make a tube of good quality sunscreen your best friend. As you age, the sun will take an increasing toll on your skin, accelerating the formation of wrinkles and dark spots. A sun screen will minimize or completely prevent that damage. Choose a moisturizing sunscreen that will give you an SPF protection level of at least 20 or 30.
When you enter your 30’s, it might be a good time to start investing in slightly expensive moisturizing creams that will be able to both moisturize and also repair and protect your skin at the same time. Choose a moisturizing cream that will contain anti-oxidants and other special ingredients like tea extracts and vitamins A, C and E.
Remember to always moisturize your face after you have used a cleanser.
When you hit your 30’s, you will first probably begin to notice signs of aging in the delicate skin under your eyes. You might have no choice but to start using an eye cream on a regular basis, if you want pristine looking skin. If you are seeing dark circles, go with an eye cream that will contain ingredients such as vitamin C and hydroquinone. If puffy eyes are your problem, you could look at eye creams that have caffeine as an ingredient in them.
When you are in your 30’s, try to be very strict about your sleep regimen. Irregular sleep patterns can easily reflect in the skin under your eyes. You can also try wearing a frozen gel mask in the morning, for a few minutes, to soothe out the puffy eyes or even the dark circles that might form overnight.
Nigh treatment creams
Consider purchasing a high quality night cream that will give your skin a big boost as you sleep. Such creams should ideally contain retinol. There are many serums and night creams out there that will also come with moisturizing elements and antioxidants that will repair and also protect your skin against free radical damage. Use the night cream after you have used a cleanser, for best results.
