Celebrities Talk about Their Skin Care Regimens
After all, who better to give information on skin care than celebrities who have the most flawless looking skin possible?
Though it would be impossible for us to lay out every excruciating detail of the skin care regimens that are followed by world famous celebrities, we can however give you excerpts that give you tidbits about the personal skin care steps that celebrities take to make their skin look great.
Celebrities don’t necessarily use expensive skin care products
Famous celebrities like Jennifer Aniston and Queen Latifah have openly said that they use affordable skin care products to maintain their skin. While Aniston said that she is a big fan of the modestly priced Neutrogena soap, Latifah has said that she has used baking soda to wash her face for several years now. Of course, there will always be exceptions. It is said that Angelina Jolie’s skin care drawer holds products that are worth at least a few thousand dollars, at any given time.
Homemade beauty products
Some celebrities like the beautiful Molly Simms love to experiment with homemade beauty concoctions. Her favorite is a honey and moisturizer mix that she uses as an exfoliate for her face. She leaves it on for about 10-15 minutes and then rinses it off, to reveal a beautiful glow.
Many other celebrities have also attested to another popular homemade beauty product that uses just a couple of egg whites to tighten and lessen the size of pores in the skin. Just crack open a couple of eggs to use the whites and then leave the thin mask on for about 10-15 minutes, before you rinse it off. You will be surprised at the toning effect that this super cheap treatment can provide.
Sunscreen at all times
If there is one universal skin care regimen that all celebrities follow, it is the application of sunscreen. Jennifer Garner once said in her interview that a basic Neutrogena sunscreen with SPF 45 protection is the first thing she applies, before touching any other beauty or skin care product. If you want flawless looking skin, you just have to protect it against the sun’s rays that can otherwise discolor, tan or just dry out the skin
Remove makeup before you go to bed
Jessica Alba has said that cleansing your skin of makeup is the most important skin care regimen that every woman must follow. In an interview, she talked about how she has woken up in the middle of the night to wash and moisturize her face, because she had forgotten to do it before going to bed. That is how important cleansing is to her. Sleeping with your make up layers on is the worst way to kill the natural beauty of your skin.
Exfoliate your bodily skin
Molly Simms once again provided this excellent tip about skin care. She says that she uses a body brush to dry brush the skin on her body every once in a while, before she goes into the shower. Also Lady Gaga does. According to her, it helps exfoliate the skin and also promotes healthy circulation that will improve the quality of bodily skin. She even went on to say that one can just use a body brush from ordinary stores like Wal-Mart or Target and that there is no need to buy super expensive brushes.
